How to Use Who's in Jail Tool to Find Inmates in San Diego County Jail?

You need to enter the last name (mandatory, at least two letters) and the first name (mandatory, at least two letters) in the search fields, and then click the "LOOKUP" button. A new page will appear on which a list of inmate record(s) is shown. You can see the inmate's last name, first name, middle name, sex, and ethnicity.

To see more details, click the inmate record. You will see the personal information (booking number, last name, first name, middle name, date of birth, sex, race/ethnicity, age, hair, eyes, height, and weight), housing location (facility, address, area/housing unit, city, facility information & directions, public visiting guidelines, and visiting schedule), arrest information (arrest agency, date booked, and time booked), bail information (bail status), release (whether sentenced and projected release), case/charge information (case number, code description, charge class, court, court date/time, ROC, bail amount, etc).

San Diego County Jail Visitation

There are two ways of visitation in San Diego County. Social in-person visitation is available five days a week (except Tuesdays and Wednesdays). Visitors should schedule the visit reservations 24 hours in advance by San Diego Sheriff's eVisit System or by the phone of each facility.

No more than three visitors, including children, are permitted to visit an inmate at one time. The order of visits is determined by the principle of "first come, first served". Visitors must arrive 30 minutes before the start of the scheduled visit (60 minutes for visiting the George Bailey Detention Facility and the Rock Mountain Detention Facility) to check in.

Video Visitation is available seven days a week. Visitors should make video visit reservations by calling the facility. Video visits are 30-minute sessions.
