The Sutter County Sheriff's Office provides an online inmate search tool for visitors or victims of crime to check the custody status of an incarcerated person at the Sutter County Jail facility. The information on the website is kept updated by the Sheriff's Office as the inmates move through the judicial process. In addition to the custody status of the inmate, the Incarcerated Person Search provides more detailed information about the inmate, including arrest date, release date, charges, bail amount, personal statistics, photograph, visiting schedule, etc.

How to Use Inmate Search to Find Inmates in Sutter County Jail?

All persons currently incarcerated at the Sutter County Jail facility are shown in alphabetical order on the web page. You can look through the inmate information one by one. To find a certain inmate easily and quickly, you need to enter the name, race, sex, or custody date in the search field(s) and then click the "Search" button. Then name you enter can be any of the first name, middle name, and last name. If you are not sure about the spelling of the inmate, just enter at least one letter of the name in the search field. Enter as much information as possible to narrow the search results.

Sutter County Jail Visitation

Visitors are allowed one 30-minute visit per inmate per day. No more than one visitor (not including children) is permitted to visit an inmate at one time.

To visit an inmate, visitors must arrive at the jail prior to the visiting hours to check in. Visitors who come late will lose the chance to visit. If a visitor wants to visit more than one prisoner, they must complete one visit before scheduling a subsequent visit.

Visitors shall not be allowed to bring any items to the inmates or take out any items from the inmates. Property release by inmates may be made during normal business hours (8:30 AM to 2:30 PM), Monday through Sunday, excluding holidays). Contact visits are not allowed for social visits.
