How to Use Inmate Locator to Find Inmates in Santa Clara County Jail?

There are three search criteria: Search by CEN (Booking Number), Search by PFN (Person File Number), and Search by Name. To search by CEN, enter the booking number in the search field. The booking number is a 7 or 8-digit number. To search by PEN, enter the person file number in the search field. The person file number is 3 letters followed by 3 digits. To search by name, you need to enter the first name, last name, date of birth, and booking date of the inmate (all are required). Having entered the all information, click the "Search" button at the bottom. You will get detailed information about the inmate such as personal information, arrest information, bail information, charge information, release information, etc.

Santa Clara County Jail Visitation

There are two jail facilities in Santa Clara County: Main Jail and Elmwood Correctional Facility. Both the two jail facilities use the same Online Visitor Registration system. The principle of visiting via the OVR system is first-come, first-served. Users can visit either the Main Jail or the Elmwood facility by selecting "Elmwood" while submitting their application.

The visiting rules of these two jail facilities are slightly different. Inmates have two 60-minute visits per week at Main Jail and at most two 30-minute visits per week and one visit per day at Elmwood Correctional Facility. No more than two adults are allowed to visit an inmate. Visitors must check in 30 minutes before the scheduled visit at Main Jail and 45 minutes at Elmwood Correctional Facility. Please note that all visitors should be dressed appropriately.
