How to Use Inmate Locator to Find Inmates in San Francisco County Jail?
You can search the inmate by name, SF number, or booking number. To search by name, you need to enter the first three letters of their first name and last name in the search fields. To search by SF number, enter the SF number in the search field. SF number is a permanent personal identification number within the San Francisco County Jail system. To search by booking number, enter the booking number in the search field. Then click the "Search for person in jail" button at the bottom. You will get a listing of inmate records.
To see more details about the inmate, just click the record. You can see the inmate's location, SFNO Number, booking date/time, next court date, booking number, total bond, court department, docket number, statute, description, charge disposition, attempt, and scheduled release date.

San Francisco County Jail
There are three jail facilities in San Francisco County. Intake and Release Center is a place where the arrested persons are booked by the San Francisco County Sheriff's Office. After booking, the persons will be released or transferred to one of the county jails. People in this facility can not be visited. County Jail #2 is one of two San Francisco jails, which can house a maximum of 292 people. It is the only jail that houses women in San Francisco County. County Jail #3 is the other San Francisco jail, which was opened in 2005. It is the largest jail in San Francisco County that can house up to 768 people. Although it is located in San Bruno, it is governed by the City and County of San Francisco.

San Francisco County Jail Visitation
You should make an appointment for an in-person visiting at least one day in advance on the VisitorKiosk. Before scheduling, you need to locate the inmate and find their SF number by the "Find a Person in Jail" search tool. Visitors are required to be on site 30 minutes prior to the scheduled visit. Please note that visitors must present a valid government-issued photo ID and dress appropriately.
